The International Hospitality and Conference Service Association (hereinafter referred to as “IHCSA”) engages in projects aimed at promoting international mutual understanding by contributing positively to invitational diplomacy and international conferences conducted in accordance with the policies of the Japanese government, the international exchange activities of other government organizations and so on, and the various activities of Japanese diplomatic establishments overseas. IHCSA firmly believes that in its involvement in these activities, the protection and appropriate handling of personal information are a social responsibility. IHCSA implements the following measures in order to fulfill that responsibility.
1. Acquisition, use, and provision of personal information
Regarding the personal information that is handled in all of IHCSA’s business and the personal information of employees, IHCSA undertakes the appropriate acquisition, use, and provision of such information and does not handle personal information beyond the scope necessary to achieve the specified purpose of use. If personal information is to be handled beyond the purpose of use, the consent of the person concerned shall be obtained beforehand.
2. Legislation, guidelines, and regulations relating to personal information
IHCSA obeys legislation, guidelines, and regulations relating to personal information.
3. Secure management of personal information
IHCSA engages in rational preventive and corrective measures against illegal access to personal information and the leakage, loss, destruction, falsification, etc. of personal information.
4. Complaints and consultations relating to personal information
IHCSA deals speedily with complaints and consultations relating to personal information.
5. Efforts to protect personal information (personal information protection management system)
IHCSA is continuously reviewing and improving its efforts in order to ensure the proper protection of personal information.
